I'm on a quest to declutter our house lately. Last week I conquered my kitchen cabinets, over the weekend Ron helped me dig out the paint cans that were in the deep dark corners of our basement. And today I got to implement the genius tip I read about the other day: store leftover paint in smaller, rust-proof plastic containers. I even strained the paint using an old pair of pantyhose (who wears these anymore?), and now I have labeled, lump free, easy-to-get-at paint. Bliss!

Reads
Right now, just catching up on several interesting magazines I have lying around, mostly Cook's Illustrated, speaking of which I am also trying to catch up on their excellent segments at America's Test Kitchen's website. Also, Oprah magazines, and my subscriptions to Canadian Living, Chatelaine, More and Style at Home. Yawn.
Waiting for some holds from the library, Barney's Version and The Wife's Tale.
Kind of started to re-read The Girls. That was a goood book. Made my top-ten of all time favorite reads.

Ready, set, Pomodoro!
I read about the "Pomodoro Technique" on Lifehacker this week... Needless to say, I needed this one badly. I find it very hard to concentrate on work and anything productive in general when I'm home alone all day. Interwebbing gets the most of my good hours on any given day, but if I set my timer for a "Pomodoro", I actually get some things done. Like this week, I cleared out all the kitchen cupboards, and was able to get a carload of stuff to the charity store. Awesome!
